It does. [ she looks back to the group who are cheering for their tired but triumphant friend. the one who is now trying to choose what they want as a prize.

When you're trying to convince your friend to keep going on despite their struggles, why would you focus on what could be causing your friend to struggle in the first place?

From my experience- It's the instinct of most to cheer on and carry on in the thrill of the moment. [ unless it presents an immediate threat to them, most don't stop and evaluate what they do or what they say or why they need to say or do things. it simply exists to them and continues to exist until out of sight, out of mind. ] I like to think that everyone still wins in this, no matter the outcome.
