"It's been that way so long as anyone can remember," Sansa says. She isn't much of a reader or historian but she does remember Old Nan's tales about the Long Night and winter has always stretched for years along with the other seasons.

"The idea you would have a spring so quickly on the heels of winter is welcomed but quite foreign to me."
